Welcome to Our Home

Hi! My name is Gretchen Sparling, and the Wolf Den is a beloved member of my family. It’s where we unplug with our closest friends and family, and where we make many, many wonderful memories.

When we are not hiking, backpacking, climbing, running, riding, fishing or skiing in the Twin Lakes area, we spend our time updating the already-lovely Den. In the past 3 years, we have added new flooring, appliances, furnishings and more — all with the goal of making our home the most inviting and comfortable space for visitors, especially guests with young families.

But we have not done it alone. Many weeks and weekends at the Den involve late-night projects with the help of family members and friends. (Thanks, you guys!) Keeping the Den in prime condition is truly a group effort … and not just from our family, but also from our longtime housekeeper, who is the real star of the show.

The Den is a place where families gather. Friends roast s’mores. Kids go sledding. It is our family’s basecamp for adventure in the Rockies, and we thank you for considering our home for your next vacation.
