This property was everything we wanted. Three families with a total of 5 kids enjoyed the property and all the amenities. It was well furnished, there was plenty to do in and around the area, and was easy to get to. Unbelievable views! Gretchen was great to work with. Already planning our next visit.

We can’t say enough about our stay at the Wolf Den. Everything was perfect! Gretchen was awesome to work with! She answered all of our questions very promptly about the area and gave us plenty of tips about where to eat and things to do. The house was amazing … the beds were super comfy and every room had a view. We had 10 people in our party and we didn’t feel crowded at all. The bedrooms are all far enough apart that even with a big crowd, you felt like you still had your own private space. We cooked a lot while we were there and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need to make any meal. The views from the house were incredible!! Sitting in the living room by the fire in the mornings with a cup of coffee and soaking in those views was honestly one of my favorite parts of our trip. We will definitely come back here and will tell our friends to do the same!

I highly recommend this property for a group vacation. We went as a groups of three families. It was a perfect spot for us. Plenty of room around the house for kids to play in the snow. The views were unbelievable. The home itself was comfortable and well appointed with all of the comforts of home. The location was remote yet not too far from activities when we wanted to get out such as Ski Cooper and Leadville.

Our small group of friends recently enjoyed a short retreat at the Wolf Den. What a quality property in a beautiful setting–this home is a true gem! From the moment we approached the house and walked through the beautiful entryway, through the experiences of cooking and eating in the huge well-appointed kitchen, to our cozy evening conversations around fires in the firepit out back, we were supremely satisfied. All of the rooms include comfortable provisions, which lead to our restful experience. It was such a blessing that three of the five bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Working with the owner was simple and pleasant. And the view–Oh my! Besides enjoying the Wolf Den’s supreme home space, we were overwhelmed by the amazing view of the Twin Lakes. There is truly nothing to compare with those moments that we spent enjoying the start of the days with the warm glow of the sunrise and the satisfying end of the days as we watched the sun sink behind the mountains surrounding the Lakes. Thank you, Gretchen, for helping us have an excellent visit at Twin Lakes.

We had a wonderful vacation at A Wolf Den! The house was very comfortable and spacious. The view was gorgeous. We enjoyed taking our host’s suggestion to try the Twin Lakes boat tour – very interesting. We made several trips to Leadville and one to Buena Vista which were easy drives with beautiful scenery. Another trip, a little longer, was to Maroon Bells that was breathtaking! I will recommend this to our friends – truly a great place to vacation!

We were fortunate to stay here during the Leadville 100 MTB this year. The home was immaculate, and the views go on for miles and miles. The quaint city of Twin Lakes is a welcomed departure from the hustle of bustle of the normal, busy touristy areas. The owners were excellent to work with and we’re already considering reserving this one again for 2018!
